The CW Acquires Rights To DC Universe’s Swamp Thing

Image
DC fans were devastated when DC Universe cancelled  Swamp Thing   after only its pilot had aired last May, with the TV adaptation of the horror comic book character prematurely wrapping up after just 13 episodes. There were hopes that the James Wan-produced show could be renewed elsewhere, but unfortunately that hasn’t happened. At least some good news has just reared its head, though, as The CW has now acquired season 1. Deadline is reporting that the network has acquired the rights to air Swamp Thing ‘s first and only run this summer, alongside Canadian crime drama Coroner  and UK comedy  Dead Pixels . Of course, it’s common for The CW to pick up pre-existing shows to fill their schedules during the summer months, and this should certainly come as welcome news to DC fans. It’s only fitting that  Swamp Thing  has found a post-mortem home on The CW, too, given their vast DC franchise. In fact, Swampie was even confirmed to take place with the Arrowverse m...

Disney CEO Says The Mandalorian Season 2 Won’t Be Delayed

Image
Since the novel coronavirus pandemic has pushed back almost every movie and TV show, fans of  The Mandalorian   feared that the same fate would befall their new favorite series, but Disney CEO Bob Chapek has just confirmed that the second season will premiere on the previously specified date. At this point, to say that fans of that galaxy far, far away can’t possibly wait to get more of Mando and Baby Yoda would be an understatement of the highest degree. There’s been a lot of hype and speculation surrounding the next chapter of Jon Favreau’s hit series, especially after it was reported that Ahsoka Tano would be making her live-action debut in the upcoming season , this time portrayed by Rosario Dawson. Alas, the current outbreak of the COVID-19 has essentially crippled the entertainment industry, leading many studios to shut down production on their film projects or TV shows. The situation has even affected the Mouse House’s very own MCU lineup , so it’d only make sense fo...

The Mandalorian Fans Freaking Out Over Boba Fett Returning For Season 2

Image
You thought nothing could top the news that Ahsoka Tano was making her live-action debut in the next season of  The Mandalorian ? Well, prepare to be proved wrong, as it was announced this evening that Boba Fett is returning for the second season of the hit Disney Plus series. What’s more, prequels star Temuera Morrison is jumping back on board the  Star Wars  franchise to play him, after first portraying Boba’s father, Jango Fett. As one of the most iconic and yet most underutilized characters in the whole saga, naturally the revelation that Boba Fett is getting more screentime has caused fans to go crazy. And as you can see below, Twitter is being flooded with excited tweets from Star Wars  lovers who can’t believe that the original Mandalorian bounty hunter is about to come helmet to helmet with Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin. He’s back, baby! SNEAK PEAK OF BOBA FETT COMING BACK IN MANDALORIAN SEASON 2: pic.twitter.com/yQWjTEIkLp — Plathanos #HIVESZN (@SavinThe...

The Walking Dead Star Says It’s A Mystery As To When We’ll Get Season 11

Image
While a handful of TV shows were able to wrap up filming and post-production before the spread of the coronavirus began to shut down any ongoing projects (you’ve no idea how thankful I am that Better Call Saul  falls into this category), there are plenty of series which were put on hold partway through production, derailing plans for both current seasons that have yet to finish airing and any new episodes. If you’re reading this article, chances are you already know that AMC’s  The Walking Dead   has been doubly hit by COVID-19. Fans are eagerly awaiting the airing of the show’s season 10 finale, which was indefinitely delayed as a result of stay-at-home orders , preventing the post-production team from putting the finishing touches on the episode’s visual effects. And as it turns out, things aren’t faring any better when it comes to the eleventh season. As we previously reported,  The Walking Dead  was set to begin shooting the next batch of episodes this mon...

Grant Gustin Reveals Which Episode Will Serve As The Flash Season 6 Finale

Image
With the TV industry on hold until the current health crisis clears up, fans are desperate to know what’s going to happen to their favorite shows, as many across the board have had their final episodes of the year scuppered by the lockdown. The various series that make up the Arrowverse are among them. When it comes to The Flash , though, we now know exactly how things are going to play out. The Scarlet Speedster himself has explained all. In an interview with TV Line, star Grant Gustin revealed that episode 19, titled “Success is Assured”, will now act as the season finale. We have some sort of cliffhanger ahead of us, he promised, even if it’s nothing like the massive one we would’ve got at the end of the actual last episode. The actor teased that this was set to revolve around the Reverse-Flash’s return. “There was going to be a big Thawne cliffhanger at the end of what this season would have been, but that’s not going to be the cliffhanger we get,” Gustin said. “[Episode] 619, “...
